What customers say?

“ This restaurant clearly caters to locals rather than tourists—there was no English menu, and even the prices weren’t in Arabic numerals. I had no idea what I ordered, but it turned out to be absolutely delicious. The spoon and fork were served in a cup of hot water, which gave me the impression that they take hygiene seriously. The soup that came with the meal had a rich, slightly sweet broth with beef blood curd—surprisingly tasty. As a side dish, they served lightly seasoned cucumber, which was refreshing and great for cleansing the palate. I had one main dish and a coffee, and the total came to about $3.50. For the price, it was an incredibly satisfying meal—I highly recommend this place. Also, the staff spoke English and were very kind and helpful. ”

“ Good restaurant , not expensive with free WiFi. Staff very friendly but not professional. Need to focus on cleaning and some decoration. Here you can get coffee for $1-2 and fried mixed rice for $3 USD. This restaurant near the street , its too loudly in the day times. ”

“ Excellent food! Consistently eating here for over a month now, so delicious and obviously healthy due to the changes of overall well being and feeling I have had since eating here primarily. They have a lovely farm outside of town where a lot of the food is sourced. Vegan, Vegetarian, Gluten-Free options available. Very cheap!! ”

“ Visited in August 2016 — Molop Wat Damnak is a fresh, clean, unassuming spot opposite our hotel, just east of the river and quieter in the off-season. The banner promised “Organic Farm to the Plate,” and it turned out to be literal: the proprietor grows much of the produce himself. Mom, observing vegan practice as a devout Buddhist, found the kitchen thoughtful and precise — high praise. My fried rice benchmark test was well executed: egg fresh, vegetables crisp, seasoning good, if a touch oily and without the fierce gas-jet wok char. The minced pork with holy basil was outstanding: savoury, aromatic, served with organic rice and raw vegetables, a short supply chain that recalled Florence’s cult ‘Il Latini.’ The organic coffee was excellent too. Fried rice 8/10, minced pork 9.5/10. ”

“ We were intimidated at first by the food poison reviews by other people before us. But we told ourselves, it might be just the sour sweet pork problem and we don’t like pork anyway. So here we are, stunned by the quality here! Dang dang dang! Vegetarians attention! You have to try the pak Choi and/or morning glory here. We’ve been eating morning glory pretty much everyday for 3 days and today is the best one! It’s so fresh and tasty! Fish amok is alright :) but it’s like a girl with too much perfume, using my friend’s saying, and we prefer the fresh girl! High price/quality ratio ”

“ Had a couple of meals here while we were visiting... super tasty food and a great little restaurant. These guys are farm to plate legit! Friendly service and casual dining. Give this place a go if in doubt on where to start in Siem Reap. ”

“ Pork Curry on the sweet side. I guess this is local favour. Amok fish is like Malaysia otak otak with yellow curry. Overall I enjoy having dinner here. Service is great and fast. Price is on reasonable side. ”

“ Our favourite restaurant in Siem Reap! We wanted to try another places during our week stay, but we just came back to this small restaurant again and again. Try their grilled squid or with peppercorns, the crispy pork belly, morning glory, Khmer Kor Ko Soup or Khmer Curry. Everything was so delicious, we tried so many dishes! Service is also great, always with a smile... and they also have good coffee from Laos. Last day of our stay we made a reservation in a very well reviewed fancy restaurant and we were a bit disappointed because the place was perfect but the food was just better in Molop War Damnak :) Do not hesitate to go there! ”
